Sony Ericsson unveils Aspen with Windows Mobile 6.5.3

To add to the success of its environment friendly Greenheart portfolio, Sony Ericsson has launched Aspen, the first smart phone equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system.

Well, what makes it a Green phone? It’s built from recycled plastics and only water-based paints are used for designing its body. Furthermore, the display is energy efficient and an in-phone manual replaces the paper version!

The handset will be available in selected markets in the second quarter of 2010. The Aspen will feature Microsoft’s standard suite of mobile productivity and entertainment applications, including Office, Outlook, and Windows Media Player. The phone will be available in two variants; one of them will have tri-band HSPA (850/900/2100); and the other will have dual-band HSPA (900/2100).

To make the product more appealing, the phone is being bundled with some popular user-friendly applications, like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, which provide simple access to social networks.

The phone is also equipped with smart security features by means of the Microsoft MyPhone service, which enables the user to erase the phone data remotely when the handset is stolen or lost.

The company is branding the phone as a “business phone with a conscience,” it is an apt choice for you if you chose a green life!
